Meet Your Guide
Born in Los Angeles, raised in Seattle, Lucien Zell has lived in Prague for the past twenty-five years. His writing has appeared in New Orleans Review, Poetry Salzburg Review, and Tikkun. Zell’s published five poetry books, most recently Tiny Kites (2019, Dos Madres), and a novel in Czech translation: Neviditelné bary (Invisible Bars). A professional singer-songwriter, with songs released on Sony, Warner, and Universal Music, Zell’s rock album Fall Into Flight has accrued fans across the world. An alum of the Community of Writers, he received their 2022 Galway Kinnell Fellowship. He hosts an international online poetry discussion group called Poetry Junkies http://www.poetryjunkies.com and serves as the founding director of Moving Center, http://www.mclf.com, a literary festival in Prague.
